Our Open Day ..... and what a day it was !!!! .......

|

Well Folks ....

We had our open day at the weekend - it was a little bit of an experiment in a way - several people had said they would love to see some of our product in situ - so we sent out a few invitations - not really knowing if it would appeal ..... oh ye of little faith ....

They came ...

And they came .....

And they came ......

And still they kept coming .....

I loved that everyone seemed to just relax and enjoy the day ....

But what can I say.......  without the "team", I simply couldn't have done it !!

A huge thank you to 'Himself' for being so incredibly supportive and working his wee socks off on the day :)

And also to my "oldest" and dearest friend Rosanne for "meeting and greeting" (we literally were born and grew up together just two doors apart) - our next night out is on me my wee buddy :)

And as for our dear friends Fiona and Robert who did all of the delicious food - well, I genuinely don't know how to thank you both enough ...

Everyone commented on the delicious canapes .....

And Robert - I think you missed your vocation as an "ace" barman my friend :)

Huge thanks too to the lovely young Naomi for serving everything so charmingly.

A BIG thank you to Linda (O'Kane) for the stunning table arrangement ....

Linda is one of the most creative people I know - as well as being a professional florist, she also does exquisite hand painted furniture and stunning crafts -

visit her at www.flowersonmytable.co.uk

Thank you also Nicola (Baird) for doing some stunning new paintings for the day - we hope to have them on the site shortly.

And to "our Stuart" - artist and photographer extraordinaire - thanks for doing "papping" duty :)

Sooooo - did our many callers enjoy the day ??? Hmmmmmm ......

Perhaps the best thing is to just let you read some of the wonderful comments - as these emails poured in (and there are many more) - I was actually very "moved" for want of a better word ..... a huge thanks to each and every one of you for coming along and for your support and lovely feedback ..... here goes ...

Kim

I just wanted to thank you so much for your hospitality and letting me see your beautiful home. Gave me lots of ideas - I just wanted to buy buy buy ... I need to go online to buy Christmas gifts for friends and family ...

Ruth

Many thanks  ..... it really worked showing your products in a real home in a very relaxing, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere ....

Yolanda

Thanks so much for a wonderful day - we really enjoyed everything - your home is amazing. We didn't want to leave - just wish all Sundays were like this ....

Paula

Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon ..... it was so refreshing to see how a natural palate can create such exquisite surroundings. Each room flows effortlessly into the next, yet each room is still different. I wish I had your 'eye' and vision .....

Susie

I just wanted to write and thank you for a lovely afternoon in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. You make it look effortless but from experience, I know how hard it can be. (Re the white bedding) .... the quality and stiffness is something I have not seen since my days living in Japan. The weave is so simple, yet intricate. I love subtle textiles, nothing that shouts out.

Joan

Cant wait to get my bed sorted out with my new bedspread and "standy up" pillow shams .... footnote :- Joan and I had a nice wee chat about the importance of lovely cushions and standy up pillows on a bed - something that us ladies totally understand and men don't :) Marie x

Laura

My new charcoal throw is already in situ and looks lovely - big thumbs up from the rest of household ....... and cats !!!

Jillian

It was one of the most enjoyable afternoons I've had in years. Everything looked so beautiful and the service was so professional and attentive. Robert and Fiona are so lovely and young Naomi did a brilliant job .... I love my lantern .....

Linda

Thank you Thank you Thank you ! Thank you for working so hard and having such a lovely event. Your home is just to die for ..... I loved all the panelling, the wooden ceiling in the kitchen and the wonderful fireplace.

Elisabeth

Amazing day !! How wonderful that you stock Lene Bjerre (Elisabeth is an interior designer originally from Norway so she knows the brand extremely well !!)

Rene

Thank you so much for today ..... I'm sure with your talent you will do superbly well .....

Judith

Thank you for a lovely afternoon yesterday .... could I call back for a "Harey Moment" (this was to accompany "Nice Bit of Rough" which Judith had bought the previous day and was so pleased with). A big thanks to all the Templeton Robinson girls btw !!!

Donna

Thank you soooo much for a lovely Sunday afternoon's shopping experience in the comfort of your home ..... deelish canapes and special bubbles all added to it .....

Alison

I just wanted to say very many thanks for the invitation to your 'open house' - it was lovely to see so much of your stock in situ and for you to have such a large turn out. I'm still thinking about the giant clock and other things and will give you a shout again one side or other of Christmas. Hope you have a lovely holiday at The Reef and look forward to catching up again soon. PS: Are you planning on renting out The Reef ??? (Foot note :- More on this verrrry soon folks !!! )

And finally finally could I also just thank our many loyal customers and followers "across the water" for your well wishes ...... again, here are just a few ......

Mags

How wonderful your open day sounds. Would love the opportunity to see round your lovely home and meet you .... but unfortunately we live in Aberdeenshire .... hope all goes well and you post lots of lovely pics of the day .....

Stephanie

Hope all goes well with your open day (Stephanie is one of our loveliest customers and has supported us from day one).

Natasha

So miffed I could not make your open house (I just know that I would love Natasha's own home - old cottage done in greys and neutrals) - she has promised me some pix .....

Right ...... well - there you have it everyone ..... our "open house" was indeed a very "full house" - and what I loved most was that there was just such a lovely buzzy atmosphere and that everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves :)

Coming up soon ......a feature home with lots of Nat Cal product .... and then, yes ..... we're off to "The Reef" (aka Tenerife) to add the finishing touches to our little place there ..... and yes, you got it, we plan to just sit on the little balcony overlooking the Ocean with a good book and a glass of "fine wine" - yay :)

Take Care Everyone
